American Idol Results | I called it. Blake gets stuck with some lame songs on the last night and now Jordin Sparks, the 17 year old, wins. Blake is not the loser and will outsell her because he is original and fresh. I must admit I do love Jordin Sparks and believe she will expand her abilities over the years. I just don’t think she has as much range of talent as Blake Lewis for producing and entertaining. They will both be super stars.
They each got to sing three songs. Blake gets 10 out of 10 from Randy on a Beat Box song interpretation of Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name" (Reprise).
Jordin Sparks did a rock song but just plants herself in front of the microphone and does not rock out. Randy almost blows it by not being really positive and has to recover with a “Steller Huh?” to save himself. She is about to win and someone probably talked to Randy in his earpiece.
The next Blake song was slow and boring and then they finish with a new venue called: Songwriter Idol. What a let down.
The American Idol Winners are:
The top ten who get to tour:
The audience who had some great entertainment
The past contestants who have been discovered and grown into such top quality entertainers like Kelley Clarkson who came back and performed way beyond what she had done in the American Idol competition she had been in.
Blake Lewis in second because he did it his way and it was great, fresh and entertaining.
Jordin Sparks because she is young, beautiful and very talented and has a great career ahead of her. Oh she also finished first in the voting which almost does not matter at this point.
The final show was fantastic with a great combination of past American Idol winners and runner-ups, the loony and bizarre who received awards and the great music performers of our time
