This week another of the four Idols where shown the doors, however, even after being voted out each one of them seemed to be genuinely happy for their AI friends that are continuing down the idol road.
Talking about her AI experience, Alexandréa Lushington said the bonds between the hopefuls were so strong because of spending so much time together, and they even forgot it was a competition until the actual night of performances. However, not everyone can bid goodbye without tears. And so it was with Alaina Whitaker, who certainly had an emotional departure from the show. Jason Yeager on the other hand said that he felt extremely proud of making it as far as he did, however, he also admitted that he has some lingering doubts about his AI experience. But still that doesn’t mean that he would advise others not to try out for "Idol." Instead he said he would encourage people to go for it, as the sacrifice is all worth it and he wouldn’t take it back.
Much like Alaina and Alexandréa, Jason said that he was surprised that there was never a feeling of the competition being "cutthroat." In fact, he said that Thursday nights were horrible for all of them, as they hated losing any fellow hopefuls. While Simon’s comments did sting, especially since he had really liked Jason earlier in the competition, Jason said that focusing on the judges was one of his biggest mistakes. Instead, he said he should have considered what the viewers might like to see more, as they are the ones voting. Robbie Carrico still begs to differ when it comes to Simon Cowell, questioning him on his "rocker authenticity." About his experience at the show he said that, “in his short time on the show, I do feel like I’ve evolved.” He further plans on exhausting every option he can now that he’s gotten such a great exposure.
After raising $76 million to benefit underprivileged children last year, now the second IDOL GIVES BACK "American Idol" charity event is set for April 9. The lineup for the events includes Bono, Brad Pitt, Miley Cyrus, Fergie, Chris Daughtry and Carrie Underwood.
There is no fun with a little scandal rocking the American Idol and this time it is David Hernandez with a past as a stripper. It was found that the 24-year-old Hernandez from Glendale, AZ, once used to work as an adult entertainer at Dick’s Cabaret in Phoenix, appearing fully nude and performing lap dances for the club’s "mostly male" clientele according to the strip club manager Gordy Bryan.
This had lead to a raise in questions on Hernandez continuing on the show. However, now it is being said that David Hernandez won’t be stripped of his chance to compete on "American Idol”- despite his past as a male stripper. Following this event, other contestants including Hernandez weren’t available for any comment.
