A prodigy in the making. That's what Chikezie Meekie Eze or more commonly known as Chikezie, is turning out to be. Courtesy of the highly rated 'American Idol', this young 22 year old American singer of Nigerian heritage has shot to fame and glory with his versatile vocal styles and a 'never give up' attitude. Inspired from some of the greatest musicians of all time, like Stevie Wonder and John Legend, Chikezie has outdone himself and ensured a place in the top 10 of the American Idol.

Hailing from Inglewood, California, Chikezie was employed as a transportation security administration screener and a cashier before auditioning for American Idol in San Diego. With a passion for music and a firm belief in faith, he wooed the judges with his energetic voice. In the tenth week of American Idol while running in the top 12, Chikezie even impressed the harshest critic in the show, Simon Cowell, who heartily complimented on Chikezie's vocal strength. Chikezie's earnest attempt at 'The Beatles' legendary smash hit 'She's a woman' reaped compliments and admiration from all the judges and participants alike.

At 13 years of age, Chikezie started singing, later on took singing at Santa Monica College in California. Futhermore, he also attended El Camino College Applied Music Program in Torrance, California. As of now, with a huge fan-base and relentless support from his family and friends alike, Chikezie is well on the road to become America's next American Idol.
