American Idol New York picks best friends Amanda Coluccio and Antonella Barba

Best friends Amanda Coluccio age 19, and Antonella Barba also 19 from Point Pleasant, NJ picked to go to Hollywood American Idol.

They have been best friend since high school, not that long ago. They tried singing together but Simon thought that was a mess.

Amanda Coluccio gets a luke warm yes and a “I couldn’t care one way or the other so yes” from Simon Cowell.

For Antonella Barba Simon Cowell says, “I think you were better than your friend.” Paula Abdul in a very strange outfit agrees. Paula looks like she got someone else’s luggage on the trip from Memphis to New York, the someone else being about 12 years old.
