American Idol rules changed in the final show. Without warning the producers of American Idol changed the rules by having the final song sung be an unknown cover. In the entertainment world what a singer writes and has written is just as important as how they sing. Think songs by the Beatles, Rolling Stones etc. American Idol has changed the contest by having the last song sung by Blake Lewis and Jordan Sparks favoring Jordin is not fair. It all of a sudden became a songwriting contest. The judges even said this in their comments.

 

Requiring the contestants to sing a song they have written and produced would be a great format next year and would make sense. Including a song by an unknown writer in the last set was unfair. Blake is the better entertainer because he is more original than Jordin. What do viewers think? Please comment here and in other places and link to this page.
