Heroes “Company Man”

This episode of Heroes was like watching an archeological dig. Bits and pieces of back-story unveiled without telling the whole story. Hiro’s father is obviously very involved, but does not seem to know of Hiro’s ability. His father acts like turning over a child to the company is no big thing but could he do it? Parkman is now being studied and he played a pivotal part in the way the story played out. I had always thought the H.R.G would show a whole other side and be much more likeable. His ultimate sacrifice at the end left me with a feeling that he does have a lot of depth.

What is so terrible that the company does to them that Claire had to go into hiding? The others just have tracking Isotopes placed in them and then they go back to their lives. Is that so bad?

Talk about complex and deep. This is a great example of the point made in the book, “What is bad is good for you.” The book makes the case for TV today being so complex and multi layered with many plot lines that it makes you think, discuss and solve problems. This is a show that will do well in re-runs because we will all go back and watch it again to see what we missed.

I thought someone would die a number of times in the show tonight. No one did but some sure came close. Heroes “Company Man” is one of the best episodes so far.
