Keira Knightley is quite excited about working in the film written by her playwright mother Sharman MacDonald. The actress revealed that she could not wait to start working on her mum’s project. The film named “The Best Times of Our Lives,” is based on a complex relationship between Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, his wife, Caitlin, his childhood friend Vera Phillips and her husband, William Killick. Keira would be seen playing the role of Vera.

The story is based on the real life incident in 1945 when Vera’s husband William Killick was found with a machine gun and a hand grenade outside Dylan Thomas’s home. Keira will begin shooting for the film in the spring of 2007, and the movie is expected to hit theaters in 2008. 

After “Pirates of the Caribbean” Keira is enjoying the best time of her life and working on the final movie of the “Pirates” trilogy. This third and final part of the trilogy will see a return of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, Orlando Bloom as Will Turner and Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards would be seen as Sparrow’s father.

This British beauty is dating actor Rupert Friend and regrets not being able to make quality time for her lover (http://www.pr-inside.com/keira-knightleys-career-is-ruining-her-love-life-r10854.htm). She explains,  "I don’t really have any time off and I keep in touch by e-mail. “Even my parents are surprised by the fact that I haven’t had any time off. I’ve been working too much. I’m living off work. I’ll have to address that." Totally smitten by Friend, Keira admits, "Normally, it’s ships passing in the night – you get incredibly close to people for a short amount of time and often you never see each other again. But with this one, we have really stayed in touch."

In a recent Yahoo! Entertainment Poll, Keira Knightley was voted "Best Starlet of All Time." Other starlets in the competition were Judy Garland, Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman, Shirley Temple, Lindsay Lohan, Brooke Shields and Mia Farrow. A Yahoo! Spokesperson said: “A starlet is an actress who people instantly think of as being young, vivacious, stylish, and popular and - most of all - talented. There are a fair few starlets jostling for space at the moment, but Keira is the one who embodies all of these attributes. Scarlett may be the talk of Tinseltown, but it's Keira's class that leads the pack. It's interesting to see Judy Garland fare so well. People still remember and love her as that fresh-faced girl from The Wizard of Oz, clicking her heels together and wishing for home."

Keira and Scarlett Johansson have also been the talk of the town recently for posing nude for the cover of Vanity Fair magazine’s yearly Hollywood issue 2006. Tom Ford, fashion superstar, also appears on the cover photo along with the starlets.
