The Apprentice last night was a breath of fresh air. When the woman basically told Donald Trump to take this job and shove it he did not know what to do. His children didn’t know what to do and the producers could not figure out how to get the line “Your fired” into the script.

This brings up an interesting question. If this is a job interview isn’t part of the interview process having the prospective employee interviewing and deciding if they want to work for that organization? I have a friend who recruits for Microsoft Corporation, a company that is much bigger than Trump’s. He explained that most of the interview process is recruiting and selling the potential new hire. If “The Apprentice” is an example of the Trump Organization it probably ranks as one of the worst companies in the United States to work for. Can you imagine reporting to one of the Trump kids the only thing worse would be the Donald. Yikes I would flee.

American Idol is the other big offender in this area. The American Idol judges get meaner and meaner as time goes by. The latest Simon comment about the Bush Baby was so wrong and sounded racist to me. The winner ends up with a poorly written contract with these guys who can’t even pick the winners of their own show. It worked when Simon was mean and the other two had nice comments of encouragement to send the contestants packing.
