Remembering Michael Jackson
All famous people are human and Michael Jackson was no exception. He brought us a unique and thrilling form of entertainment that carried us away form our worries and problems. From childhood he was driven to be great: first by his father and then by his own inner need for perfection.
This continued in his memorial services at the Staples center in Los Angeles. What a magnificent service/performance it was, the costumes, the talent and the singing where fantastic. His daughter was a spark of reality when she broke down and said she loved him.
Facts: Michael Jackson had 47 solo singles on the Billboard singles chart, 13 number one singles that hit number 1, he sold 61 and half million albums and Thriller was on the top of the U.S. Charts for 37 weeks. His comeback was already in full swing with 85 million dollars in ticket sales for his planned 50-concert run at London’s 02 theater.
The press has forgiven him, the fans love him and we will be lifted by his music for the rest of our lives. Watching the memorial services I was truly moved.
