Scarlett Johansson has been crowned “Sexiest Woman Alive” by Esquire Magazine. The actress poses on the cover and inside pages of the magazine's November 2006 issue. When asked to comment about the hype regarding her “sex appeal,” Scarlett Johansson questioned, “What about my brain? What about my heart? What about my kidneys and my gallbladder?”

The "enigmatic trailer park temptress,” as the magazine calls her, would like to be admired more for her talent and attributes than her curves and sex appeal.

Scarlett Johansson recently posed nude for Vanity Fair with Keira Knightley. The actress commented, “It was surprisingly comfortable. Everyone was so busy working or loading film. Here I am, Keira and I, and we’re totally naked, and some guy is on his Black Berry. But I guess it’s better than if they were all looking at me.”

The actress revealed her relationship with Josh Hartnett her co-star in The Black Dahlia. “Josh is very sweet," said Scarlett. "He's a good boy. A great person. I'm very lucky and I'm very happy.”

Johansson is socially aware and strongly supports testing for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). "I get tested for HIV twice a year. One has to be socially aware," she says. "It's part of being a decent human, to be tested for STDs. It's just disgusting behavior when people don't. It's so irresponsible."

One of the most promising actors to break out in her teens, Scarlett started acting at the age of eight. Her screen credits include “Girl With Pearl Earing,” “The Black Dahlia,” and “Lost in Translation.” After the release of "In Good Company" and "A Love Song for Bobby Long," Johansson got the lead role in a big budget Hollywood flick opposite Ewan MacGregor in Michael Bay's "The Island." The movie did not win her any accolades but she was not disappointed. She was later praised for her role in Woody Allen's "Match Point," in which she played the role of a struggling actress.

“Scoop” in 2006 went without much fanfare for the actress. After Scoop, Johansson was seen in “The Black Dahlia” (2006) which is directed by Brian De Palma and is based on James Ellroy’s complicated and richly-textured thriller about two hard-edged cops and the murder of Elizabeth Short. The Black Dahlia had its world premiere at the 63rd Venice Film Festival in August and was released was in September 2006.

Scarlett will be seen in two movies in 2007- “The Other Boleyn Girl” and “The Nanny Diaries.” The “Nanny Diaries” is based on novel by the same name, written by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus. Scarlett plays the role of Annie Braddock. The ‘Other Boleyn Girl’ is a historical novel by Philippa Gregory, based on the life of 16th-century aristocrat, Mary Boleyn. Johansson takes the lead in "Mary Queen of Scots," which deals with the antagonistic relationship between Mary and Queen Elizabeth I of England. According to movie trade journal, The Hollywood Reporter, the budget for the movie, to be releases in 2008, is 25 million dollars.
