Congrats to Jessica Alba and Cash Warren…they welcomed a baby girl, Honor Marie Warren, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The name that they chose is beautiful, and I have to say I am rather shocked. The recent trend with celebrities seems to be to name their kids something completely strange. I understand that they want to be creative, but think of the child! They are going to have enough trouble being the child of a celebrity and mixed in all the gossip, but throw in a crazy name and that kid is going to be in therapy for life!

Here are some of my favorite (ha!) names that the celebrities have come up with for their kids:

1. Moon Unit. Parent: Frank Zappa (still a classic!)
2. Audio Science. Parent: Shannyn Sossamon (‘Nuff said)
3. Jermajesty. Parent: Jermaine Jackson (This makes my brain hurt?!)
4. Kal-el. Parent: Nicholas Cage (You really named your kid after superman?!)
5. Moxie Crimefighter. Parent: Penn Gillette ( I guess I’m not surprised, he is a weird guy)
6. Pilot Inspektor. Parent: Jason Lee (Life in therapy, guaranteed!)
7. Seven Sirius. Parents: Andre Benjamin (Andre 3000) and Erykah Badu (what, were they on Sirius Radio, channel 7 when they ‘concieved?)
8. Spec Wildhorse. Parent: John Cougar Mellencamp (He’s lucky his Dad can sing…)
9. Zowie. Parent: David Bowie (Zowie Bowie!?!? OMG! Evil, just plain evil)
10. …and the always talked about: Dick Butkis (although, he is the celebrity, not his parents. And, he’s such a big guy that I doubt anyone would think to make fun of his name!)
