The Newport Beach Film Festival came inlike a big friendly tsunami. The big Newport theater was transformed with red carpets, a media wall and rows of cameras and reporters. My Entertainment News had six video crews filming and doing interviews due to a cooperative agreement with two other news groups. We are reviewing the footage and will be putting opening night video up within a day or two.

 

Of course Chad Lowe arrived and talked about the new movie he directed “Beautiful Ohio.”  The theater was practically full. That is something because that particular location is so big it almost never gets full. The mayor of Newport Beach, Steve Rosansky, was on hand and we caught up with him and caught some of his thoughts on the festival on tape. In addition the super sports agent and main festival sponsor Leigh Steinberg talked about how he became involved eight years ago feeling that this was something that had to be done.
