So here are the basics of how it works – each week, the pairs (same pair each week, unless one of them gets eliminated, then the broken pairs end up together) pick a dance that they will then perform… To find out the rules of exactly how it works, go to www.fox.com/dance  

First round just finished…and here’s what I thought:

1st couple: Raven and Jamie. Raven is a Ballet Pointe Dancer. Jamie is a Ballroom Dancer.
They’re doing a hip-hop routine. Judges give mixed review…I’m not a fan. I love hip-hop, but it is supposed to hit, and be clean…it was neither clean, nor did it hit. My guess on chances of dancing for their life? Pretty darn good.

2nd couple: Susie and Marquis. Susie is a Salsa Dancer. Marquis is a Contemporary Dancer.
They’re performing a Dark Waltz. Judges liked it, I wasn’t that impressed…so far not so good…

3rd couple: Courtney and Matt. Both are Contemporary Dancers. Doing a Jazz dance
Judges don’t love it, and neither do I…but I think they’ll be safe

4th couple: Chelsea and Thayne. Both are Contemporary Dancers.
Performing a Cha-Cha. Judges absolutely loved it…Mary screamed (surprise surprise! Ha!) …but they we’re right, it was hot!

5th couple: Chelsie and Mark. Chelsea is a Ballroom Dancer. Mark is a Contemporary Dancer.
They’re performing Contemporary. Judges gave good reviews, but I was in love!! It was amazing – totally fit what Mia Michaels was looking for: “Tim Burton’s Wedding”. Creepy…disturbing…but so enticing!

6th couple: Twitch and Kherrington. Twitch is a break dancer. Kherrington is a Contemporary Jazz dancer. Performing Broadway.
Across the board, great reviews. So far…probably one of the best couples (Twitch’s facial expressions were priceless!)

7th couple: Chris and Comfort. Chris is a Contemporary Dancer. Comfort is a Hip-Hop Dancer.
Performing a jive Don’t care what the judges thought…that jive didn’t jive for me…I sense bottom 3 couple…

8th couple: Katie and Joshua. Katie is a Contemporary Dancer. Joshua is a Hip-Hop Dancer. Doing hip-hop.
It was definitely awesome!! Tribute to the Troops…They’ll be safe…

9th couple: Jessica and Will. Both are Contemporary Dancers. Performing the Tango.
Judges thought it was clean and done well. I have one thing to say B-O-R-I-N-G…I saw a better Tango on dancing with the stars with Maks and Mel B!! – Definite bottom 3!

10th couple: Gev and Courtney. Courtney is a Contemporary Dancer. Gev is a Break Dancer. Doing a Disco
Disco is supposed to be fun, strong and funky. It was none of the above… I’m guessing bottom for sure!

Ok, so my guess for the bottom 3 couples?

1. Gev and Courtney
2. Jessica and Will 
3. Susie and Marquis
